Craftsmanship Overview
Germany is home to many famous luxury and sports car manufacturers. Porsche, which was founded in 1931, is owned by Volkswagen AG; in fact, the first-ever job Ferdinand Porsche had was designing the Volkswagen Beetle. The modern-day Porsche brand still builds high-performance vehicles, with the Porsche 911 being their most popular model. The Porsche 911 was first introduced in 1964 as a 2-door luxury sports car and is currently in its seventh generation.
Exterior and Interior
This particular 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo AWD Cabriolet is finished in Guards Red and topped with a black convertible top. A set of forged bi-color dual-5-spoke wheels with the full-color Porsche crests on the wheel cap centers grace the 911 Turbo, and white Porsche stenciled letterings on the red brake calipers. The front of the car featured the iconic Porsche design fascia along with chrome-tipped winglet slats and LEDs embedded in the front bumper. The front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser are painted black. The interior is finished in a uniform brown color, and the Aluminum Look Interior Package adds silver/chrome to the trim pieces. The interior comes equipped with the Adaptive Sport Seats with driver memory functions, lumbar support, and heating, and these are finished in natural leather seat trims. The Turbo Chrono Package adds an analog and digital chronometer, dynamic engine mounts, a SPORT button in the center console, and individual memory functions. The center place is taken by the 3-spoke PDK Sports steering wheel with shift paddles and finished in smooth leather matching the interior color. At the same time, a premium sound experience is provided by the Bose sound system.
Engine
The Porsche 911 Turbo is lauded for its quick powerhouse and engaging drive. This 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo AWD Cabriolet comes with the 3.8L twin-turbocharged Boxer engine coupled with a 7-speed Porsche Dppelkupplung (PDK) automatic transmission. Power output is at 493hp, which gives the Porsche a time of 3.6 seconds in the 0-60 mph and a top speed of 194 mph. The car comes with launch control, McPherson front suspension, and LSA multi-link rear suspension.
